Preparing for your conference

What to bring

Bringing the right documents to the first conference means we can give you a useful assessment on the day rather than after a second appointment.

Criminal matters

  • Court Attendance Notice and any bail acknowledgment
  • Police Facts Sheet and charge sheet, if provided
  • Any correspondence from police or the court
  • Details of any previous convictions or pending matters

Family law matters

  • Date of marriage and date of separation
  • A list of assets, liabilities and superannuation for both parties
  • Any existing court orders, agreements or parenting plans
  • Recent payslips, tax returns and bank statements

Wills and estates

  • The original will, or a copy if the original cannot be found
  • Death certificate, where a person has died
  • A list of assets and liabilities of the estate
  • Details of the executor and beneficiaries
